actually, while reading this, i wasn’t super invested at first, but i was enjoying it naman! it made me laugh, such in awe, and blush so hard too.
for me, Cale and Keanna’s relationship feels so genuinely intimate like, even the smallest or most subtle gestures hit so differently, they actually matter. and not gonna lie, i didn’t expect them to be lowkey freaky when it’s just the two of them grabe ahahahahhaha shookt ako, e!
what i loved most is how they always make each other feel secure and keep reassuring one another. as someone who overthinks a lot, their gentle ways really got to me—as in—it felt so comforting and real. napapaisip ako, gusto ko na tuloy magkaboyfriend LOL.
plus, kuhang-kuha talaga ako sa mga palitan nila ng short messages through song lyrics. sabi nga, “sharing music is a love language.” 🎵💌
this story shows what adulthood is actually like… tiring, messy, real. it’s two people making their best to stay together while dealing with work pressure, burnout, and that quiet fear of drifting apart.
the dialogue and emotional tension carry the author’s signature polish. their conversations feel authentic to who they are—witty, slightly guarded at times. yung tipong even without the mention of their names, kilala mo na sino yung nagsasalita.
and when conflict came, though I kinda saw it coming, it never felt forced just for a shock value. it came from relatable adult dilemmas, the strain of balancing personal ambitions against relationship priorities, the quiet guilt of letting exhaustion overshadow romance, wondering of whether love alone is sufficient when life pulls people in different directions.
… and i really couldn’t blame either of them. pero sa totoo lang, nainis rin talaga ako sa ginawa ni keanna, and at the same time, naawa naman ako nung nareceive niya galit ni cale 😭
sabi nga ni Cale, “f̶u̶c̶k̶ miscommunication.” ✌🏻✌🏻✌🏻
if there’s any edge, it’s also the introspective pacing—not too slow, not too fast; and the drawback, since i see so much of Kea’s overthinking, some parts feel a bit repetitive.
all in all, this is such a satisfying, comforting read. 💯
